Our New President
The AORTIC 2011 conference that was held in Cairo, Egypt from 30 November - 2 December 2011, was a resounding success. The conference attracted 300 delegates – the vast majority from 32 of the 54 countries in Africa. Other participants and speakers were from the USA, UK, Germany, Colombia, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Spain, France, Canada, Saudi Arabia and India.
At the conference, we were proud to announce the election of our new President, Professor Isaac Adewole who is Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and Vice-Chancellor of the same University.
The AORTIC Council and the membership of AORTIC are pleased to welcome Professor Adewole as our President. We are confident that under his leadership, Professor Adewole will propel AORTIC forward with the adopted Strategic Plan and meet our objectives of a cancer-free Africa.
